Gratitude

It's hard to be humble and not brag when we have such great clients that say so many nice things.  I am posting this email that we recieved a couple of days ago from a bride who recently watched her video for the first time.  Yes, I am proud.  My husband is the most amazing editor!  You can see the love in every edit.  So maybe it is a little bragging.  But it will also serve the purpose of helping brides that are on the fence about videography for their wedding.

I also hope that it shows you that you are not ordering a Big Mac - that every wedding is different and unique and that it takes time to create a keepsake that you will enjoy for a lifetime.

from Caroline:

"Angela it was perfect. I mean just perfect.!! I cannot wait to have everyone in my life watch it. We were blown away by everything. Literally cried for the whole hour- it went by in no time, but I feel like it caught every moment we would want to remember. James and I just sat there in awe of all the feelings that it evoked. It took us right back to that day and how perfect and wonderful it was. We are so thankful that the Lord has blessed you in the way that He has. Just yesterday I had a girl message me about who we used because the highlights made her cry... It's like well you should see the whole thing haha. I was able to tell her how much yall meant to us because you really gave us the most precious gift. Pictures can only do so much- I will tell anyone and everyone till the day I die that having a videographer(s) at your wedding is top 3 most important things that you should have. Sacrifice anything haha. Thank you so much! It truly is the biggest blessing we have received and I am so sorry I didn't email you right after we watched it. We are just so joyous about it!! I cannot say thank you enough. Your work is amazing!!"

Here are the highlights taken from their wedding video.

Wedding Dresses for 2012 | The White Room

Want to be able to see dozens of beautiful gowns from the comfort of your own couch?  This video was filmed during the Wynfrey Hotel's 13th Annual Bridal Show at the beginning on the year.  A prominent bridal salon here in Birmingham, The White Room, hosted the fashion show so that brides would be able to see the different trends and styles available for 2012.  You might find your gown by watching!

Chandeliers | My latest love

I love finding unique wedding day chandeliers.  Whether they are adorned with flowers, moss, utensils, I love them all!

My first love this week was a chandelier used in a contest locally with a well-known jeweler, Bromberg's.  The participating florists were given china to decorate a themed tablescape for judging.  One florist, Lillie's Flowers, decorated a unique spoon and fork chandelier with twigs and flowers.  It was beautiful - it was actually my favorite thing about her gorgeous table. Thanks to Arden Photography for this photo! Click here if you want to take part in the voting!

The next love was found on Pinterest via Design Productions.  I think he might have been highlighting the drapery, but I couldn't take my eyes off the beauty in the middle.  Don't you agree?????

On the Elizabeth Anne Designs' blog, I found this beauty (below on the left), a fern and ribbon covered chandelier, from VUE Photography.

And my last love (for now anyway), are the beautiful chandeliers that we find in trees during outside receptions. I find them very tranquil.  I found this picture (below on right) on the Green Wedding Shoes' blog.

I can't tell you which one I like more than the other because I keep changing my mind.  Why can't I have all of them?!!

Unique place card!

Maybe I am just a true Southern gal (or really it is probably that our 4 year old likes to "dip" his food in ketchup), but it was love at first site when I saw this cute place card!  You can customize the label for your wedding, with lots of choices.  I love the idea of using them for a casual rehearsal dinner.  So cute!

You can find more info on the Heinz website, but this cute photo came from The Knot.

Insider's Tips: Tip #55: Late Night Snacks

Back on the Insider's Tips: Tip #37, I talked about the fun trend of the After Party.  But you don't have to do an After Party to offer your guests this wonderful new creation of the Late Night Snack!

Just imagine at your reception, your guests have had dinner and now everybody is partying and having a good time.  It gets to be around 10 and out comes the LATE NIGHT SNACK!  It is not only perfect timing but delicious as well!  All guests are happy with their tummy's full!  You might dance a little more before you make your grand exit.  And as you drive away, your guests will be thanking you for the delicious snack before the party ended! (And the fact that they don't have to stop at Waffle House, or some other all night establishment, on the way home!)

A special thanks to Intimate Weddings for their picture!

Doors

It seems like every bride wants the feeling of when the doors of the church open up for she and her dad to begin the walk down the aisle to her new life.  It is powerful.  It is emotional.  But this can only be achieved if you get married inside, right?  NO!!

I just found the most darling way of being able to have the best of both worlds.  Brilliant and it is gorgeous! Thank you Southern Weddings Magazine and Tec Petaja Photo for such a cute idea.

Love Letters

When it comes time for that wonderful part of the wedding day for the bride and groom to exchange their gifts, I love it when a thoughtful love letter is either included with the gift or it is the gift.  It is a special, special time.  And just imagine being able to read it over and over again through the years.

A lot of times a bridesmaid or MOH will deliver bride's letter to the groom and vise versa.  Even in the video below, we have beautiful footage of the couple reading their letter after they were dressed for the wedding.  It always brings a lot of emotion to the surface (and we love emotion!!).

I saw this picture on Adam + Allie's Photography website and I LOVED the idea.  Not only is it sweet, but it is building the anticipation of being able to turn around and see your bride or groom.  Can you imagine the butterflies!!!
