When Christine's mom first contacted me right after the couple got engaged, she told me of their incredible love story.  Same apartment building downtown, but didn't know each other...that kind of thing.  We were so happy to finally meet JR and Christine for lunch before the wedding and they lived up to everything that we had hoped for!  And when it came time for the wedding, WOWOWOWOWOWOWO!!!  Amazing.  Christopher Confero and his team (along with HotHouse Design Studio) did an incredible job of transforming The Club into a starry night.  The dance floor stayed packed as guests had tons of fun.  Right after the wedding, Christine's dad, Dale Marsh was re-elected to the Alabama Senate.  I think 2014 was a pretty good year!

On one of the coolest wedding dates of the year, 7-7-14 (IMO), Melissa and John exchanged their wedding vows in an outside ceremony at the Alabama 4-H Center in Chelsea, AL.  It's a great example of a fun, rustic and chic wedding in the woods!

We love for our creative juices to be stretched.  And when you have a couple like Mary Beth and Dave, we get to film and edit a little out of the box.  

The wedding was planned from England, Italy and Tuscaloosa.  MB and Dave were in England, the parents of the bride were living in Italy and the bride's sister was the Alabama connection.  It makes it challenging in all aspects so when MB moved back to Alabama, we jumped at the opportunity to meet with her and talk about likes and dislikes, the wedding and what she was really looking for in a wedding video.

As she spoke, she mentioned a favorite director of theirs to Chris. Wes Anderson (The Royal Tenenbaums, The Grand Budapest Hotel).  He has an unique style that is very familiar to his followers.  I could just see the wheels turning in Chris's head; he loves this kind of stuff. I couldn't wait for the wedding so that I could see what Chris produced for his couple.  It was PERFECT for them!

In all of our years of filming weddings, we have never had a couple so excited to see each other for the 1st time.  Squeals of delight from both Elizabeth and Cassandra could be heard from all of Birmingham!  

Overlooking the city, our beautiful couple shared an intimate ceremony while being surrounded by their family and friends.  Meaningful passages were read by guests during their wedding ceremony and cocktails were passed in celebration at the reception.  So in honor of Florida officially being a same-sex wedding state yesterday, we are proud to present our couple's #onelove video.

I firmly believe you can tell a lot about a person's character from their friends, especially how long they have been friends.  Catherine and her friends are the perfect example of this.  And on Catherine's wedding day, they had so much fun together.  They were all so excited for their bride to marry her groom!

The vault has been unlocked!  If you read Chris's bio, then you know that he was in New York City before moving back to Alabama almost 8 years ago.  He was a working actor and a filmmaker.  I guess you do what you have to do….

This little gem of a video had me laughing and crying all at the same time and I couldn't wait to share it!!!!!

The quality is pretty bad, but Chris rapping makes up for it.  We are still looking for a better copy.

Kristen: A calm, relaxed and beautiful bride.  Brantley: A handsome and very emotional groom.  The two of them together equals pure happiness and love.  

The day started with Brantley and his boys (and their love of a GoPro from BMX racing days) documenting their travels to Butler's Grooming Club at Sax's (at the Summit).  Kristen and her gals were calming getting ready at Salon Swag in Trussville while laughing and having a good time. From there it was time to go to Christ Church at Branch Cove for the 1st look and ceremony.  You can see how emotional a 1st look can be for the couple.  I love it!  I love, even more, that we were there to capture it forever!
