Featured: Borrowed & Blue

This wedding loveliness was featured recently on Borrowed & Blue for the Birmingham area.  Heading by Anita Kanellis with AK Brides, it was a dreamy day.  Heather Durham did a fantastic job with the photos; I know that pleased Caroline and her family.  Really each way you turn, the vendor team was awesome!  Did you see those flowers from Carol with Lillie Jane!  Wow!

Head on over to B&B and check out the feature.  Here is the link.  I'm going to post the video below too in case you want to relive the wedding day with us!  Enjoy!

Alexis and Colby | Private family home, sort of...

When you ask summer brides, getting married outdoors, what their biggest fear is on the wedding day, they almost always say, "RAIN!"  Sometimes they have a beautiful sunny day, sometimes it rains a little bit but clears up just in time for the ceremony AND sometimes you have a gully washer (southern term...)!

Alexis and Colby's wedding day started out with beautiful skies as they were preparing to get married at the bride's aunt's home on the lake.  Letters were written, bride was gorgeous, and then the rain started.  Sideways, down, every which way.  Thankfully a nearby church was able to host the wedding at the last minute.

Do you want to know the best part?  I emailed the bride right after the wedding saying that I was sorry that the day didn't go as she wanted.  Her response, "It didn't, but in the end everything was still perfect!"  That, ladies and gentleman, was the best attitude anyone could have had!

Claire and Paul | The Grand Hotel

We love to do wedding weekend coverage. It gives us the chance to hear the funny and telling stories from the rehearsal dinner.  A lot of times, we are able to incorporate those into the wedding film.  It makes it really special.  And speaking of special, these families are special.  From the groom's sister texting her dad after first meeting Claire, "We can not let Paul screw this up!" to fun dancing all night long, it was the perfect wedding!  I'm so excited to share with you their wedding weekend from The Grand Hotel in Fairhope, AL.

Cara and Hayden | The Haven

I'm sitting here watching this wedding film, knowing that it is ready to be released to the bride and groom, but yet, I just keep watching it over and over.  Cara has an infectious smile, you want her bridesmaids to be your friends, Hayden kisses Cara like a movie star (you know what I'm talking about) - it was just a pretty awesome wedding day!  Make sure you watch until the very end for a special, so very special, moment.

Catherine and Zack | Bridgestreet Gallery & Loft

I always ask every bride how they found us.  It wasn't until Catherine chose for us to give to the Melanoma Research Foundation that I made the connection that she found us through a family that is near and dear to us.  Knowing that Catherine grew up with Molly and her family made me all the more excited for her wedding day to arrive.  Just look at these two below; aren't they the sweetest!

Having known each other most of their lives, Madison and Ben have a beautiful love story. It was so sweet to hear their parent's account of seeing the couple's love develop over time. What a joyous wedding day! Tissues ready?

Farah and Umar

We met smart, beautiful, kind and always lovely, Farah Naz Khan many years ago. She was always our go-to emcee/DJ/tech guru for her friends and family's weddings that we were filming. We always loved seeing her and knew the event was better because she was in charge. Fast forward several years, I get a message that she had found her love and they were to be married. We were thrilled! After all, Umar had to be pretty special too to win Farah's heart. Thank you for inviting us into your lives and your fabulous wedding!
