Wedding Dresses for 2012 | The White Room

Want to be able to see dozens of beautiful gowns from the comfort of your own couch?  This video was filmed during the Wynfrey Hotel's 13th Annual Bridal Show at the beginning on the year.  A prominent bridal salon here in Birmingham, The White Room, hosted the fashion show so that brides would be able to see the different trends and styles available for 2012.  You might find your gown by watching!

Details, details, details! Every location topped the one before giving Jerrod Brown great images for the magazine (Alabama Weddings Magazine) and us fantastic behind the scenes footage. Elegant ideas for a wedding throughout and a little "Good ol' boys" thrown in for fun at the end during the credits so watch the entire thing!

Beverly Andrews with Engaging Celebrations kept the day organized and on track, while Carol Riley of Lillie's created beautiful works of art. Andy Tolar with Design Productions added touches of light creating just the right atmosphere.

Laura + Heath: Rosewood

Laura is an absolute natural beauty.  Her smile is contagious!  It is hard to put down the camera even for a moment - you just never knew when she would flash that gorgeous smile.  Needless to say, the footage looks great!  Beautiful bride together with her handsome groom, Heath, were married at a beautiful Antebellum home called Rosewood.

Insider's Tips: Tip #24 - Wedding Dress Help

 

Another great tip from Cathy Kelly at The White Room.  Whoever is helping the bride put her dress on, MUST NOT be wearing colored nail polish.  Clear or a french manicure is acceptable.  Otherwise you can get streaks of color onto the white dress!  Yikes!  Can you imagine getting ready for pictures on your wedding day and your mom's freshly painted nails scrape against your dress?  The next thing you know, you are trying to find something to get the streak of nail polish off the back of the dress.  Remember this does apply for bridal sessions too!  

 

Crochet hooks are a must if you have a million buttons on the back of your dress!  It will save hours!  Not really, but it seems that way!  And maybe Wal-Mart has a two pack because I personally think it is a good idea to pack an extra in your overnight bag for your honeymoon night.  Not only will your groom not be a big fan of having to undo 25 little tiny hooks, but I also doubt that he will be very patient in this process.  

 

We have clients that chose for the wedding planner or a mom to unhook the little buttons (leaving the zipper untouched) before leaving the reception.  By that point in the evening, no one will ever notice that you have the hooks unhooked.  It is just unnecessary stress for your groom to have to deal with it.  

Molly + Rich: SFX and Harbert Center

"She was surrounded by angels."  This is a direct quote from Rich talking about the first time he saw Molly from across the street.  These two have an amazing love story.  We were so fortunate to be able to tell their story to their family and friends at the rehearsal dinner Friday night.  Held at Rosewood Hall in SoHo, many friends and family gathered in love and support of the couple.  Below is the clip of the interview shown that night.  It is so much more than an interview though, it is the story of true love. 

On Saturday, Rich and Molly exchanged vows at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in a traditional mass.  Afterwards, the Harbert Center hosted their lively reception.  Molly looked beautiful in her White Room gown.  We love Molly and Rich and we love their family!  (Molly is the sister of Adrienne and Luke Remmert, of Bridesmaid Jill fame.)
