Blog Index

We have tried to design our blog for our fans, friends, and family to keep up with what we are doing each week.  It is also a good way to get to know us.  Or maybe just a way that I (Angela) can talk up a storm without John getting annoyed.  We will see...

Also included are the Insider's Tips, which started out as a challenge to post one tip per week for an entire year.  We hope that you will find that they are not just the normal information you find out there in wedding world, but more unusual tips that can only be found when you live on the inside.  Ha!  Really, we just attend a lot of weddings.

Amanda + Hurell: South Highland/Rucker Place

Rain, rain go away!  It is a good thing that it is considered good luck if it rains on your wedding day!

Under the amazing direction of Ms. Alene Gamel, I Do, I Do!, and surrounded by all of their family and friends, Amanda and Hurell were joined together in matrimony at the beautiful South Highland Presbyterian Church.  Afterwards, the guests traveled the short distance to the Historic Rucker Place for the reception.  Arden Ward did an amazing job on the photography. I can't wait to see the pictures!

It was a packed house for the reception.  It was beautifully decorated - simple, but elegant!  The Rucker Place is naturally so beautiful anyway and throw in a beautiful bride and it is just spectacular!

I hope the couple had a relaxing time at the beach!  No one ever invites the videographer...

Other vendors for this included Olexa's, Dorothy McDaniel's Flower Market, Coconut Cowboys, and Vintage Autos.

Ashley & Casey at the Rucker Place

One hour before the rain started, Ashley and Casey were married outside at Rucker Place.  Of course, it was a fabulous evening.  The garden ceremony was beautiful, the food was amazing, and the guests were having a wonderful time.

I believe it was Ashley's paternal grandmother that was the spunkiest 92 year old I have ever seen.  She was such a wonderful lady.  I enjoyed the few minutes that I got to speak to her.

Everyone was having a full-filled evening of dancing and mingling!  The rain didn't damper anyone's spirit.  Casey even got up with the band for a song before the night was over!  It was great evening.

Best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Casey Marshall!
