Blog Index

We have tried to design our blog for our fans, friends, and family to keep up with what we are doing each week.  It is also a good way to get to know us.  Or maybe just a way that I (Angela) can talk up a storm without John getting annoyed.  We will see...

Also included are the Insider's Tips, which started out as a challenge to post one tip per week for an entire year.  We hope that you will find that they are not just the normal information you find out there in wedding world, but more unusual tips that can only be found when you live on the inside.  Ha!  Really, we just attend a lot of weddings.

Tiffany + Craig: Palisades Church of Christ | Ted's Garage

Yesterday was our official 1st wedding of the year.  I say official because when you have a December 31st wedding, it really is like your last one of the year, but the first one too.

Everything about the day was absolutely beautiful for bride Tiffany and her beau Craig. She couldn't have asked for better weather and a more perfect day.  Greg Hawkins with Studio G was in his element to say the least.

We just fell in love with these two families.   I think when we get to film the rehearsal dinner it gives us a terrific insight into the family.  They were a very tight knit group with lots of babies everywhere!  I was in heaven.

But it just wasn't because there were babies around that the wedding weekend was so great, it really was a combination of everything.  I have to give credit to Beverly Andrews with Engaging Celebrations.  Her weddings truly are amazing!  I don't think people realize how much they are missing out on when they don't hire an experienced wedding planner.  From the vendor side, it couldn't be a better day and to see (and film) the relaxed expressions on the bride and her mother, then I know how much better the wedding day is for them too.

After a beautiful wedding ceremony at Palisades Church of Christ, the guests made their way over to one of our new favorite venues, Ted's Gargage.  Happy Catering had set up stations after stations of yummy food for the guests.  I loved how the band started the evening off with a dance for all of the fathers and daughters.  It really helped to get people to the dance floor and they stayed!

So the end of the night comes, the couple leaves in the bride's dad's restored Thunderbird.  Right after we run back in and get into a hiding spot.  No, we were not trying to stay at Ted's Garage all night, we were getting into place for a romantic proposal that was about to happen!!!  It was so exciting!  Take a look at the footage below.  The guitarist was the lead singer in the band, a groomsman, and the brother of the gal that is about to start planning her wedding!

Jenna + Mark: St. Mark | The Club

WOW. Wow. and wow.  This wedding was definitely something to write home about.  The ceremony was beautiful with a full mass and a beautiful sounding choir that filled the church with melody.  The Club (although very beautiful) had never looked better all thanks to Jill Sampson, with Weddings by Jill and lighting by AG Designs.

The entire event was under the careful instruction of Alene Gamel with I Do, I Do Weddings.  Alene is a perfectionist and perfection is what Jenna and Mark were given.

There are so many details that I could talk about.  Pink draping everywhere!  The 7 tiered (or more!)cake by Jan O'Donnell, delicious!  The many food stations.  The fireworks display that was out of this world!  And then an extra treat!  The guests came back in from outside and saw the newly formed cheesecake station!  Perfection, I am telling you.

And then you have the little details that most people might not see, but mean so much.  My favorite was the vintage broach on Jenna's bouquet.  It was her grandmother's.  What a special way to honor a loved one.

The band!  Hands down, the BEST!  The Atlanta Show Stoppers.  They were show stoppers!  I love the snapshot photo below of our couple dancing and singing on stage with the band.   Wonder what they are singing?  Never fear, we have the video that goes along with this picture.  They will be able to relive the day over and over!

I know that Greg Hawkins with Studio G captured some beautiful and fun photos!  His assistant for the day was Marsha Perry!  What a great team!

As I look back on my original notes from my meeting with Jenna.  Her vision was to have an inside garden with pinks and greens.  Well, this garden was fit for a queen!

Allyson + Tyler: Mathews Manor

Aly and Tyler were married on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at Mathews Manor in Springville.  The bride arrived to Micah's Meadow by horse and carriage and she looked like a true princess!  After a flawless wedding ceremony, the guests relocated to Grace Hall for the reception.

One of the flower girls and the bearer for the wedding were very special to Main Street Productions.  They were the niece and nephew of the bride AND the son and daughter to one of our 2006 couples, Ashley and Brent.  Not only was it great to see those beautiful children, but getting to see a former couple is always great!

Feel the Beat played fun music that got everyone on the dance floor all afternoon! And Greg with Studio G captured all the great memories!

Jessica + Slade: Riverchase UMC & Matt Jones Art Gallery

Beautiful, Jessica and the not so bad Slade (kidding!!) were married at Riverchase UMC on Saturday. We had the opportunity to with with Greg Hawkins of Studio G.  His photos are always amazing!  They never disappoint!

For the wedding reception, we went to one of our favorite reception sites, the Matt Jones Art Gallery!  The place is just naturally beautiful!  And is always managed perfectly by the GoPro team.

Here is a clip of Slade and Jessica sharing their first dance!

Sarah + Matt: Mathews Manor

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful Sarah!  To date, maybe one of my favorite brides.  Yes, she is beautiful and works the camera like no other, but she has such a beautiful heart as well.  It truly was a pleasure to be at her wedding.

All through the ceremony, she kept whispering to Matt that she loved him (thanks to our wireless on the groom, we could hear every word).  She was so excited to be getting married to her high school sweetheart!  It was refreshing.

A special thanks to Greg Hawkins (Studio G) for not only referring us to the McAllisters, but also putting up with us all day as we both captured such an amazing day.  I have seen the pictures and they were FABULOUS!!!  We can't wait to share the sneak peak!

We did something a little different for this couple. We followed them back to Ross Bridge, where they were spending their first night together as husband and wife Enjoy this fun clip and remember "the best is yet to come!"
